Privacy Policy and Cookies

Data controller

The Promotekstil.hr online shop is operated by Studio A5 j.d.o.o., Josipa Lenca Spodolčeva 5, 51000 Rijeka, Croatia, OIB (tax ID): 43566265122 (hereinafter "we"). We are the controller of your personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For any privacy questions write to info@promotekstil.hr or call +385 91 612 2823.

What data we collect and why

Orders

When you place an order we collect your name (or company name), delivery and billing address, e-mail address, phone number and, for business customers, the OIB tax number (for issuing R1 invoices). This data is necessary to conclude and perform the contract — processing the order, delivering it and issuing the invoice.

Contact form

Your name, e-mail address and the content of your message are used solely to reply to your enquiry.

Technical data

For security purposes (preventing abuse and spam) the server logs the IP address and basic browser information. We do not use analytics tools, advertising networks or tracking technologies, and we do not profile visitors.

Legal basis for processing

  • performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — processing and delivering orders and communicating about them;
  • legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — issuing and retaining invoices under tax and accounting regulations;
  • legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — site security and abuse prevention.

We do not use your data for marketing and we do not send newsletters.

Who we share data with

We pass data only to service providers without whom we could not fulfil your order, and only to the extent necessary:

  • Stripe — card payments; you enter your card details directly on Stripe's payment page and we never have access to them;
  • SendGrid — technical delivery of our e-mails (order confirmations, payment instructions, replies to enquiries);
  • GLS Croatia — parcel delivery; the courier receives your name, delivery address and phone number for delivery and notifications;
  • our goods supplier — when goods are shipped directly from our supplier's warehouse, the supplier receives your name and delivery address solely in order to dispatch your order.

These providers process data as processors acting on our instructions. We do not sell data or pass it to third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep data

  • invoices — 11 years, as required by Croatian tax and accounting regulations;
  • orders and related correspondence — for as long as needed to perform the contract, handle complaints and establish or defend legal claims;
  • contact-form enquiries — for as long as needed to resolve the enquiry.

Your rights

With regard to your personal data you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send your request to info@promotekstil.hr — we will respond without undue delay. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP), Selska cesta 136, 10000 Zagreb, azop.hr.

Cookies

The site uses only technically necessary cookies, without which the shop cannot function:

  • session cookie (PHP session) — links your browser to the current visit and, for administrators, the login; it is deleted when you close the browser or when the session expires;
  • cart cookie (pt_cart) — remembers your cart for 60 days, so it is still there if you close the browser. The cookie itself holds only a random identifier; the cart contents (item codes and quantities) are stored on our server against that identifier and deleted automatically after 60 days of inactivity. The cart is not linked to your name or e-mail until you place an order;
  • language selection — remembers your interface language (Croatian or English);
  • price display — remembers whether you prefer to see prices with or without VAT.

No consent is required for these cookies because they are strictly necessary to provide the service you explicitly requested. We use no analytics or marketing cookies and no third-party cookies; Stripe's cookies are set exclusively on Stripe's own payment page if you choose card payment.

You can review and delete cookies in your browser settings (usually under "Privacy and security" → "Cookies and site data"). Deleting cookies will empty your cart and reset the language and price-display preferences to their defaults.
